At the time of acquiring the Bedford Hotel in 1984, many rooms were still without en-suite facilities, requiring guests to queue on landings for the bathroom.  Standing there in the morning in dressing gowns, clutching towels and toilet bags, home from home one might say!

Today all our rooms benefit from en-suite facilities, multi channel satellite teletext television, direct dial telephone/alarm/radio, free wireless broadband internet access, hospitality tray, toiletries, bathrobes and an iron and ironing board.  The Hotel has a no-smoking policy for all bedrooms.

All rooms at the hotel are as individual as the guests who use them, coming in all shapes and sizes, though all sharing the same facilities.  To help in your selection of rooms, we have categorised them into just three types...

The Standard Room
All standard rooms share the same facilities as superior
and club  rooms but may be on a smaller scale.  Some rooms have a bath and shower, others may have a walk in shower only.  The standard of decorations and furnishing is not compromised.

The Superior Room
A litle more spacious than the standard room, all superior rooms benefit from a bath and shower.  Decoration, as in all rooms is to the highest standard, using bespoke furniture sympathetically to create a relaxing atmosphere.

The Club Room
The most spacious of all rooms, the club oozes quality.  Discerning guests will appreciate the individual decoration, furnishings and floor coverings that set these rooms apart from the average.  All rooms have a bath and shower.  Some of the club rooms have spa baths as standard, please enquire.  Large airy bay windows are a feature in some club rooms as are a separate seating area.

For the bride and groom, those on a second honeymoon or those just wishing for something different, there is a solid oak four poster bedroom.
